First and foremost, my sincerest apologies to the employees at AMC theaters in Council Bluffs. Although it may not have looked like it, my son actually does like eating popcorn more than the act of throwing it on the ground. lol.

This week we decided to take our son to a movie for the first time. Personally I am a HUGE movie fan. I enjoy going to them, watching them at home, renting them, you name it. If it involves a movie I am there. My oldest son Roman also shares the enjoyment of film as well. He can be caught on a pretty regular basis sitting or standing in front of the TV watching a movie or just the screen saver on our Apple TV.

So I felt it was time to try out this whole take your kiddos to the movie things. Lets just say it wasn't a complete failure, but pretty close. The first obstacle was getting him to sit down for the previews, which is normally the best part of the movie. However he refused to sit still, so I thought, maybe he needs to walk around and get used to his surroundings, but nope. He was just not having it.

Luckily, we finally got him to sit still long enough to make it through an hour of the hour and half long film we were watching. It just took a grown man (dad) holding him down and offering him juice and popcorn non stop. lol.

Once we hit the official hour mark it was game over. Dad had to leave the theater and let him run around while I finished the movie with Oakley. So needless to say, I think we are going to wait a while before our next trip with the little guy to theater. However, I can't wait until he is old enough to start watching movies in public with us. This is something Abram and I enjoy so much and we are excited to share this love of film with our kiddos.
