Dream AGAIN, Believe Again

Can you imagine a life lived fully free?

What does that look like? Who would you be? What could you do if you weren't afraid to take chances? If you weren't afraid of what people might think of you, if you didn't fear failure. Can you imagine a life being so sure of yourself that you don't miss a minute of sleep thinking about the pros and cons of every life choice you make whether the decision to be made is big or small?

I am so amazed by people who take bold risk! They take a risk in their career, a risk in their home life, person life you name it! My husband is great example of this, he lives life so unapologetically, full of freedom, because he carries a deep understanding that we only get today, so we need to make it count! He literally inspires me and pushes me on a regular basis. So many of our conversations surround this idea to DREAM BIG! The sky is the limit! During those conversations I always feel this dialogue happen in my mind, "easy for you to say or do, because you are wired that way." But today I came to this thought or conclusion, that freedom in life IS NOT A PERSONALITY TEMPERAMENT, ITS A CHOICE!

That God himself calls us to live a life of freedom! He calls us to live in wide open spaces, and if we feel ourselves or lives start to shrink, its not by HIS decision but the personal choices that we make. The book of 2 Corinthians puts it so well,  "Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!" (2 Corinthians 6:11-13 MSG)

In junior high, we had a week were we focused on dreams for ourselves and we used an acronym BHAG (BIG, HAIRY, AUDACIOUS, GOALS). Goals or Dreams that are so hard to reach that you are not even sure if it's possible. I think that the way God calls us to live, dreaming and living big! Living free, free from doubt or the fear of others expectations. Because thats what he thinks of us. He is a big God that loves us, that knows us and has great expectations over us and our lives! It's just our choice to walk into that freedom!

Maybe today, you feel like you have lost the desire to dream, to reach out and believe and hope for better days. Or maybe you have taken a chance before in life and fallen flat on your face. Can I challenge you with this idea, LAMENTATIONS 3:22-24 "The faithful love the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, "the Lord is my inheritance, therefore, I will hope in him." Remember that his mercies never end! That he is faithful and he is the prize! Lets pick ourselves back up again, and choose to dream and believe again, because we will not be disappointed!
