You washed that load of clothes how many times?

4 times, yes you heard me, I have washed the same load of laundry 4 times over the last few days. lol. So I am not sure if anyone knows this, but if you leave a wet load of laundry in the washing machine for more than 4 hours or so, the wet clothes begin to smell sour. Causing you to inevitably having to wash the clothes again or you are going to wear clothes that smell terrible all the time.
I am not not writing this post to explain how to wash clothes, lol I am writing this a reminder that we are all busy in life and we may not be able to aways accomplish our to do list when we would like. I am currently swimming in loads and loads of laundry that needs to be completed soon or we will all be wearing dirty underwear everyday. But I have learn and choose to practice embracing life's moments and not worrying about the small stuff.
One of the biggest insecurities I have had in life is how clean my home is. Before I had children I would take every Saturday to clean my apartment, by clean I mean DEEP clean!! I would scrub the floors the toilets everything that I could get my hands on and it was my goal to make sure my home was clean before I took a few minutes to relax.
When I had first son Roman, I spent every waking moment during his early moths to stay on top on laundry and keep our apartment clean! On top of not sleeping at night so I always felt exhausted, I also tried hard to make sure that dinner was cooked and ready to eat most nights. Making it hard for me to truly enjoy those early months with my little one. I have few memories of just napping with him or enjoying the little changes in his personality because of this.
However, my perspective on life seemed to shift immensely when I had Oakley this last year. I realized that time is precious and I would rather spend my time snuggling my little baby boy then worrying about the laundry being done, the house being clean or dinner always ready on time. My boys are growing every second of every day and there is nothing I can do about it but stop and smell the roses and their toses lol.

So when I have company over and there are toys all over the place, the meal isn't prepped or my clothes smell a little like baby puke. I have learned to not over think it and try not to apologize too much. I want my life to be full of the memories I make with my little boys.
So if you have little ones at home and you are worried about the laundry, the meal or how your house appears, take an extra second to squeeze those babies and hold them tight. Moments like those are fleeting, soon they are going to be grown and heading out the door to start their life.
